2024 Ford F-150 vs 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500View Inventory
Truck shoppers in the market for a new full-size pickup truck will likely compare the 2024 Ford F-150 vs 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. These are the two most recognizable pickups on the market. The Ford F-150 available at ORO Ford continues to be the most popular vehicle in North America. The Silverado 1500 often jockeys for the number two spot with the Ram 1500 but did manage to secure it last year, and early sales figures indicate that the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is on its way to securing that spot again. The new F-150 has a starting MSRP of $36,570, which is best in class. Chevrolet advertises a starting MSRP of $36,800, which is close, but if you use Chevy’s online configurator and select the regular cab with the standard bed—the cheapest option—the advertised price jumps about $2K.

Ford F-150 Mechanical specs
The are many similarities when comparing the 2024 Ford F-150 vs 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in regard to the mechanical options but also some notable differences. In both cases, you have the choice between standard rear-wheel drive and optional four-wheel drive. Ford opts for 10-speed automatic transmission. Chevrolet includes a 10-speed with its optional engines but an 8-speed with its base. The base engine in the Ford is a turbo V6 that makes 325 hp. The base engine in the Chevy is a turbo four that makes 310 hp. Maximum towing and payload capabilities are higher with the Ford, but they’re close enough that this probably won’t be a deciding factor for most drivers.
Technology - 2024 Ford F-150 dealer
Technologies is one of the areas that Ford really stands apart. With the base XL, you get a 12.inch Sync 4 touch screen, keyless entry, auto high-beam headlamps, forward collision mitigation and lane departure mitigation. The Silverado 1500 has a 7-inch touch screen that feels a generation old. A 13.4-inch touch screen is available, but you have to move all the way up to the LT trim level to get it. At the highest trim levels, you’ll find that the Ford and Chevrolet are comparable feature wise but that you’ll pay a bit less with the 2024 Ford F-150.
